Interactive political education work always promotes key skills - whether in communication, negotiation, conflict management or teamwork. Based on this insight, we have developed a broad range of professional skills training courses in recent years. Participants include managers and those who want to become managers, students and professionals from practically all backgrounds. And, of course, our courses are also interactive!

Our classic negotiation training comes in analogue or digital form, in a basic version as well as with different focal points for more in-depth training, e.g. on multilateral negotiations. The simple two- and four-way exercises (e.g. on the purchase of office furniture) work just as well online as the more complex negotiation exercises with intermediate feedback (e.g. on colour coding or the establishment of nature reserves). Participants learn to distinguish interests and positions, the five steps of preparation (which is almost the most important aspect...), how to chair a negotiation round - and that BATNA is not just a city in Algeria.

Our leadership and teambuilding format is aimed at people who already hold leadership positions or at those who aspire to do so in the future. Participants explore different approaches to leadership, try it out and learn that leadership is not a job title and can therefore be assumed by anyone.

In our advocacy workshops, participants develop advocacy strategies, practice pitching them convincingly and learn the basics of stakeholder analysis and political process analysis. They develop messages and slogans for fictitious nature conservation organisations, undergo live interviews and try to enforce their interests as employers' associations or trade unionists at the European Commission.

All skills training courses are now also available as online versions, and we are thrilled by the new possibilities! For example, the option of ending breakout sessions at the touch of a button and bringing participants back to the plenary has been a huge boost to our time management.
